Globally - Uganda: Poultry Farm Business Plan Recently WorldVenture sent a team to Gulu, Uganda to work beside one of their own missionaries. The Team was created using BAMmatch and consisted of six business professionals from both Africa and the United States. From a CPA to a professional poultry expert, every member of the team was able to add their own set of business skills to make the trip a success. BAMmatch was also able to host all the conversations and training discussions that took place prior to the trip.
A small company in Beirut that salvages historic materials from demolition sites and employs marginalized people to turn the material into works of art has linked up with Ed, a business man in North Carolina. He is helping the company explore sales channels in the US. Samples have been sent and the process is moving forward. Tennessee - Brazil: Publishing Recently, John West from Tennessee went to Sao Paulo, Brazil to help a publishing house improve its operations. He reports a very successful trip, as does the business that he went to help. A second coaching trip is being planned, with an expanded team. We worked with both John and the business to establish a good relationship, after which they were able to create clear deliverables for the trip, which laid the foundation for its success. Read John's trip report, posted in the BAMconnect forum. Login or become a member (free for life!) to read John's story. South Carolina – Middle East A BAM practitioner in a major city in the Middle East needed coaching to expand his business from one retail storefront to a wider wholesale position. Through his business he was seeing members of a majority people deciding to follow Jesus and was helping start up a church. Expanding to wholesaling would help him create more jobs and expand his relationships and impact. Without compromising his security, BAMmatch found a small circle of businessmen who had the right skill sets and industry experience to be a great match. California & Colorado - The World: Import/Export Three business people are designing an import/export company that focuses on creating jobs in impoverished communities around the world, in communities where churches and NGOs are working on various spiritual and community development efforts. Colorado - Rwanda: Eco-tourism We brokered multiple conversations, face to face and by email, between people setting up a BAM operation in Rwanda with a businessman from the Denver area.
